I spent my last month in Vietnam doing a motorbike trip from Hanoi to Saigon.  The entire trip was superlative in every way.  One particularly memorable event occurred when the chain on my bike broke.  I was going down a curvy mountain at a pretty good clip and the rear wheel completely locked up as the chain broke and jammed in the rear sprocket.  I skidded and fishtailed hard for a couple of hundred yards. Broken down on the side of the road, several people from the local village stopped and offered help.  They ended up bringing another bike and a trailer to haul my bike back to the village.  I spent the night with the mechanic working to fix the problem and ended up staying at his house with him and his family.  It was definitely one of those travel experiences that restores your faith in humankind. 

Teaching abroad is a cool idea that many people entertain.  It will be a cool idea in ten years, too.  Get certified.  Go for it.  Turn that idea into reality.
