Please review the pre-enrollment information packet.  If you do not have this packet, your Admissions Advisor will be happy to provide it.  The pre-enrollment information packet includes the following items:

  • Chicago TEFL Course Overview & Course Syllabus
  • Course Calendar – This is a sample course calendar that outlines the homework and reading assignments that are due on a daily basis.  Please note that this calendar does not include a sample of the student teaching. 
  • Day in the Life – A sample of what a typical day in the life of a Chicago TEFL students can look like.

Your next Steps:

  • Read the documents listed above and jot down any questions you have;
  • Complete the Chicago Class Application (your Advisor will provide this);
  • Allow yourself at least thirty minutes to complete the application. The application is required to be admitted into the course;
  • After your application has been reviewed, you will be notified by your Admissions Advisor if you have passed the application process. If so, you will be able to register for the Chicago TEFL class and will receive a Grammar Quiz that needs to be completed before your course begins. If you have not passed the application process, your Admissions Advisor will discuss alternate certification options with you.
